It all started when…

Alex Hanssen was born and raised in Stavanger Norway. He was exrtremely active in sport from a young age. He was active in hockey, track and field, snowboarding, surfing, and football before he was introduced to skeleton. 

Hi mother, Cindy introduced him to the world of sliding through an advertisement in the newspaper for bobsleigh, it was there the idea of becoming a skeleton athlete began.
